Mohanad Elshieky

Mohanad Elshieky is playing The Cabaret at Wiseguys Comedy Club on Wednesday, October 21, at 7 PM. He's a New York-based, Libyan-born comedian, and this is a stand-up set.

If you haven't come across his name before, he's spent a good deal of time on national television. He made his debut on Conan and has since appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Don't Tell Comedy, and Comedy Central, including Comedy Central's Clusterfest. He's a regular at New York City's Comedy Cellar, so he's used to the kind of room Wiseguys runs.

Beyond the stage, he does a lot of writing. He's a writer and consultant for the podcast WAIT WAIT DON'T TELL ME, and he previously wrote for LOVETT OR LEAVE IT and worked as a digital producer on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. He co-hosted Lemonada's podcast I'M SORRY, appeared in Kumail Nanjiani's book LITTLE AMERICA, and was selected for the SF Sketchfest Dozen in 2024. In 2018, he was in an episode of Epix's Unprotected Sets and was named one of Thrillist's 50 Best Undiscovered Comics. He's also toured with the storytelling show Pop Up Magazine and has been on podcasts like Pod Save The People and Harmontown.

The show is at The Cabaret at Wiseguys Comedy Club, located at The Gateway, 190 South 400 West in Salt Lake City, and it starts at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 21.
