Austin duo Missio plays The Urban Lounge, the 21+ venue on South 500 East.
MISSIO play The Urban Lounge on Tuesday, November 10, with the show starting at 6 PM. They're an Austin, Texas duo made up of Matthew Brue, who handles vocals, multi-instruments, and production, and David Butler, who does engineering, multi-instruments, and production. They've been working together since the beginning, each taking on a mix of performing and studio roles.
They put out their debut album, Loner, through RCA Records in May 2017. The lead single, "Middle Fingers," became a global radio hit, debuting on Conan O'Brien's late-night show and climbing to number nine on the Billboard Alternative Charts. Since then, they've released four full-length albums and earned an R.I.A.A. certified Gold Record for "Everybody Gets High."
Their reach goes beyond the music, too. They've partnered with brands like Shiseido, Summer's Eve, and Armani, and their songs have crossed one billion global streams. They've headlined in Europe, Russia, and Mexico and played festivals including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Rock For People, Firefly, Hangout, and Corona Capital. Along the way, they've toured with acts like MUSE, 30 Seconds To Mars, Yungblud, K.Flay, and Nothing But Thieves.
