Malik Elassal

Malik Elassal is playing The Rickles Room at Wiseguys Comedy Club in Salt Lake City on Friday, January 15, 2027, at 7 PM, and again on Saturday, January 16, at 9:30 PM. He's a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, and these two dates are his headlining sets.

Elassal's comedy draws on his Lebanese-Canadian roots, and that background comes through in the storytelling. He was named a New Face at Just For Laughs Montreal in 2022 and toured nationally after that. One of his sets for Don't Tell Comedy became one of their most-watched, pulling in more than 3.5 million views. He returned to Just For Laughs in 2023, where he performed at a Gala and in the Just For The Culture show. On screen, he plays Samir in the FX/Hulu series Adults.

Before moving to Brooklyn, he was a Top Comic in his home city of Calgary, where he recorded sets for CBC's New Wave of Standup and performed the title track of the Just For Laughs originals album Yeehaw Hell Yeah. That mix of Canadian stand-up and his Lebanese heritage is where a lot of his material gets its perspective.

Tickets are $25. The Rickles Room is inside Wiseguys Comedy Club at 190 South 400 West in Salt Lake City. He's on Friday, January 15, at 7 PM and Saturday, January 16, at 9:30 PM.
