Stand-up comedy show featuring Jessica Kirson at Wiseguys Comedy Club.
Jessica Kirson is playing Wiseguys Comedy Club downtown on Friday, October 16, with the show starting at 6:30 PM. If you've never seen her, she's a high-energy stand-up known for two things that rarely sit together: ridiculous characters and a real, self-deprecating vulnerability. She's the kind of comic who can pivot from a loud, absurd bit to something honest and personal without missing a beat.
Kirson has been at this for more than two decades, starting out in the New York City club circuit and working her way up to The Tonight Show and The View. She's also done a fair amount of acting, with starring roles in HBO's Crashing and Kevin Can Wait. Beyond the stage and the screen, she produced Hysterical, an FX documentary about women in stand-up comedy, and worked as a consultant, producer, and onscreen talent in Robert De Niro's The Comedian. Within the industry, she's often called a "comic's comic," and she's built a following of more than a million people across her platforms.
