After-hours Halloween spooktacular for kids, teens and families with snacks, crafts, games and outdoor activities, with costumes encouraged.
Halloween at Glendale takes over the Salt Lake City Public Library Glendale Branch on Saturday, October 24, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's an after-hours spooktacular put on by the library, and it's built for kids, teens and families. The whole evening is centered around the library itself, which they'll fill with snacks, crafts and games. Costumes are encouraged, so it's the kind of night where you can show up in full dress and fit right in.
Inside, the focus is on the activities: snacks to graze on, crafts to make and games to play. It's an after-hours event, so the library stays open late for this, and the activities are aimed at younger crowds and their families. If you've got kids or teens, it's a good way to get them out of the house on a Saturday night and into something they can actually do together.
There's more than just what's happening inside, too. Outdoor games and activities are on the program, though those depend on the weather. If the night holds, the celebration spills out of the building and into the open air. If it doesn't, the snacks, crafts and games inside still make for a full evening.
