Gianmarco Soresi: The Misery Loves Tour

Gianmarco Soresi brings The Misery Loves Tour to The Showroom at Wiseguys Downtown SLC, with three shows over two nights: Thursday, January 21, at 6:30 PM, and Friday, January 22, with sets at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. The venue is at The Gateway, 190 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.

Soresi is a New York-based stand-up comedian, actor, and creator known for sharp societal observation and a spry, energetic stage presence. He's a regular on the late-night circuit, having performed on The Tonight Show and The Late Late Show with James Corden, and has appeared on Comedy Central and The Real Housewives of New York. In 2022, he was selected as a JFL New Face, and in November 2023, he was featured on Netflix's multi-comic stand-up series Verified Stand-Up. He also hosts the podcast The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.

Last September, he released his debut special Thief of Joy on YouTube, which drew over 3 million views in its first two months. Jason Zinoman of The New York Times called it "superb," the NYPost named it the best debut special of 2025, and Vulture described him as "effusive and expressive, a chatterbox of ideas."

Beyond the stage, Soresi has worked in film, with roles in Billy Crystal's Here Today, Hustlers, and The Last OG. If you're coming for the stand-up, Thief of Joy is a good place to get a sense of his style before he hits the stage in Salt Lake City. He'll be performing at The Showroom on Thursday, January 21, at 6:30 PM, and Friday, January 22, at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
