An interdisciplinary student research seminar series where student presenters share their research findings with the wider university community.
Geeks Speak is back at Westminster University on Thursday, October 15, for another session of its student research seminar series. It runs from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, right in the middle of the day, so it's a lunch-hour thing rather than an evening commitment.
If you're not familiar with the name, here's the deal: Geeks Speak is an interdisciplinary, cross-campus student seminar series. The "interdisciplinary" part is the keyβit's not just one department or one major. Students from across the university present their research findings to the wider campus community, which means you'll hear about a range of topics rather than just one narrow field. It's a chance to see what's actually being worked on inside the classrooms and labs, presented by the students themselves.
Because it's a seminar series, the format is straightforward: student presenters share their research, and the wider university community listens. It's a student-led showcase, and the interdisciplinary nature means the subjects can shift from one session to the next. If you've ever wondered what goes into a student research project, this is where you get to see the results first-hand.
