Eric André: Subtle

Eric André brings his stand-up show Subtle to Wiseguys Comedy at The Gateway, 190 South 400 West in Salt Lake City, for a run of five shows over three nights. He'll be on stage Thursday, October 22, with sets at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM; Friday, October 23, at 6:30 PM; and Saturday, October 24, with sets at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

If you only know him from The Eric Andre Show, the Emmy-winning Adult Swim sketch show that made him a household name, there's a lot more to the guy. He's spent the last few years moving between stand-up, acting, and producing. His 2020 special Legalize Everything premiered on Netflix, and in 2021 he starred in and produced the comedy Bad Trip, which became Netflix's most viewed feature worldwide in its first week. He's also worked across a few different formats: he voiced John Dory in Trolls Band Together and appeared in Rough Night, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stop, and The Internship.

On the acting side, he's played a range of roles. He starred in the Netflix feature Little Brother, directed by Matt Spicer, and appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 and Peter Farrelly's Balls Up. In 2022, he played megachurch pastor Lyle Lissons in season two of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones and starred in an episode of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. In 2023, he was an expert panelist on ABC's The Prank Panel alongside Johnny Knoxville and Gabourey Sidibe, and he launched the podcast Bombing with Eric Andre.

With five shows over three nights, there's a bit of flexibility on when you go. Thursday, October 22, has 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM sets; Friday, October 23, is 6:30 PM; and Saturday, October 24, has 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM. All of them are at Wiseguys Comedy, The Showroom at The Gateway, 190 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
