R-rated stand-up show staged as a satirical church service, hosted by Mega Pastor Adam Broud with guest comics and different themes each night.
Comedy Church returns to The Rickles Room on Sunday, November 8, at 7 PM. It's a stand-up show built for people who have left religion, staged as a satirical church service and hosted by Mega Pastor Adam Broud. Each night tackles a different theme from a post-religious lens — things like Marriage, Death, Swearing, and Guilt — with a fresh batch of jokes, hymns, and guest comics. The format blends stand-up, late-night interview, and parody, and the show is rated R, ages 21 and up, so you'll need your ID at the door.
The show runs at The Rickles Room, an intimate 80-seat showroom at Wiseguys Comedy Club in The Gateway, named after the legendary Don Rickles. It shares its food and drink menu with the club's sister rooms, The Cabaret and The Showroom. The room is known as a launchpad for young, up-and-coming comics, who are often given their first headlining opportunities and the creative license to produce and host their own shows alongside a mix of local and national names.
