Hands-on cooking class to make fresh pasta from scratch and prepare a tomato basil sauce, presented by Fever.
Classic Handmade Pasta is happening at the AC Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown on Saturday, October 24, from 5 PM to 6:15 PM. It's a hands-on cooking class presented by Fever, and the whole thing is built around two things: making fresh pasta from scratch and pairing it with a tomato basil sauce.
If you've never made pasta by hand, this is where you start. You'll work through the whole process—kneading the dough, rolling it out, and cooking it—rather than just watching someone else do it. The second half of the session is dedicated to the sauce, a classic tomato basil that keeps things simple and comforting. You'll be working alongside the rest of the group, so it's as much about the people in the room as it is about the food.
The class is described as fun and interactive, and it's set up to work whether you're coming on your own or bringing a friend along. You'll leave with a better handle on how authentic Italian cooking actually comes together, from the flour on the table to the finished plate. It's a good fit if you've always wanted to try making pasta but didn't know where to begin.
