A hands-on, 18+ evening of interactive exhibits and problem-solving challenges aboard a space station, with mocktails and music.
Clark Planetarium is hosting Clark After Dark: Escape the Space Station on Tuesday, October 27, a hands-on night for adults that turns the museum into a space station for the evening. The whole thing is built around a single prompt: you're aboard a station in space, and you've got to solve a series of problems to save the day. It's not a sit-back-and-watch kind of night; you'll be moving through the space, working through the challenges yourself.
The evening mixes interactive exhibits and hands-on activities with mocktails and music, and it runs for about three hours. The Salt Lake Astronomical Society is on board as a community partner, so there's a real connection to the astronomy side of things rather than just the game. It's a social night as much as a puzzle one, with the drinks and music running alongside the activities.
One thing to keep in mind: this is strictly for ages 18 and over, and you'll need a valid ID to get in. If you're planning to go, tickets are sold through Eventbrite, and they'll give you a refund up to seven days before the event if your plans change.
