CASINO NIGHT - The House Wants You to Have Fun

Casino Night takes over the Redwood Student Center at Salt Lake Community College this Friday, October 23, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's exactly what the title suggests: a few hours of classic casino games, food, and friendly competition on campus.

One thing that sets this apart from a typical night at the tables is that everyone starts on equal footing. You don't need to be a seasoned player to get into it. The event is set up so you can learn the games as you go, meet new people, and earn chips along the way. Once you've built up a stack, you can cash those chips in for a chance to win prizes, so the whole night works as a loop of playing, earning, and trading up.

Between the games, there's food to keep you going, and the whole thing is pitched as a way to unwind and make your own lucky break. It's the kind of thing that works whether you're coming with a group or just showing up on your own and figuring it out as you go.

It runs from 6 PM to 9 PM on Friday, October 23, at the Redwood Student Center at SLCC in Salt Lake City.
