Opening reception of Utah Opera's artistic residency at Asher Adams with a first look at costumes from Cinderella and Don Giovanni.
Utah Opera is moving into Asher Adams as their new artistic residency, and they're kicking things off with an opening reception on Wednesday, November 4. It's a casual way to see what the residency is all about before the full season gets underway.
The main draw of the evening is a first look at the costumes for two of the company's upcoming productions: Rossini's Cinderella and Mozart's Don Giovanni. Both are part of the 2026/27 season, so this is one of the first chances to see the wardrobe they're building for them. If you're into the visual side of opera—the fabrics, the period detail, the way a costume helps build a character—this is exactly the kind of thing you'll want to spend some time with.
As for the night itself, it's a reception rather than a performance. It runs from 6 PM to 8 PM, and it's open to all ages, so you can bring the whole family along. There will be complimentary light bites to snack on, and drinks are available for purchase. It's an in-person event, and since it's a reception, you can drift in and out as you like over the two hours.
