Seasonal afternoon tea with a witching-season theme, house-made pastries, tea sandwiches and gourmet teas, with costume-wearing encouraged.
The Grand America is bringing back its Witches Tea this fall, a seasonal twist on the hotel's afternoon tea that runs from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, November 1. It's held in the Lobby Lounge, so you can catch it any day during that window rather than on a single date. Afternoon tea is served from 11 AM to 4 PM, which gives you plenty of room to fit it in around lunch or mid-afternoon.
If you've had the hotel's regular afternoon tea, you know the general setup: house-made pastries, savory tea sandwiches, and gourmet teas. The Witches Tea takes that and gives it a wicked turn for the season, with the menu playing along with the theme. It's the same kind of spread—sweet and savory together—just dressed up for October. And they encourage you to show up in your most bewitching costume, so if you've got a witchy look you've been waiting to wear, this is a good excuse to bring it out.
