Fifteenth season of the haunted attraction Fear Factory, with a new expanded midway, in the abandoned Portland Cement Works.
Fear Factory is back for its 2026 season at 666 W. and 800 S. in Salt Lake City, the site of the abandoned 1800s-era Portland Cement Works. It opened on Friday, September 18, and runs on select nights through November 1. This year marks 15 years for the attraction, which has become one of the city's most recognized haunted experiences.
The venue is a big part of the draw. It's an old industrial complexβsix buildings reaching six stories high, with two underground passages running through them. There's real history here, too: documented factory worker deaths on-site have earned it a reputation for being authentically haunted, and some visitors claim they can hear the factory's beating heart while they're inside. That combination of scale and history is what keeps people coming back.
It's also picked up some national attention over the years. It's been featured on the Travel Channel and ranked third in the world by BuzzFeed, and it's made the top ten in the US on both USA Today and the Travel Channel. This season adds a few new things to the mix: a Halloween-themed bar called Dark Spirits opened in 2024, and for 2026, they've added a brand-new, expanded midway with private party spaces available to rent. Beyond the main attraction, the site also offers a survival guide, a zombie bus, and Grimm Ghost Tours.
