A space spectacular concert presented by the NC Symphony, featuring the iconic music of John Williams including Star Wars themes.
The Music of John Williams: Star Wars & More comes to the Martin Marietta Center in downtown Raleigh on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24. It's presented by the NC Symphony, and the whole thing is billed as a "Space Spectacular" — a musical journey through the cosmos built around the scores of John Williams. Star Wars is the big one here, and the program draws from that and other Williams works.
There are two performances to choose from: Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 3:00 PM. Both are in the Meymandi Concert Hall, so if you're coming from across town, you've got a choice between a Friday night out or a Saturday afternoon. Doors open 90 minutes before each show, and the Lounge pre-show is open to ticket holders with complimentary light bites and one drink per guest. If you're planning to hang out and have a drink before the music starts, that 90-minute window gives you plenty of time to settle in without rushing.
