Third annual Trunk or Treat on Halloween with popcorn, hot chocolate, apple cider, candy and treats.
First Covenant Church is hosting its Third Annual Trunk or Treat in Portland on Saturday, October 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. It's a Halloween night event, so it falls right on the holiday itself.
The main draw is the trunk-or-treating: cars parked with their trunks open and decorated, each one handing out candy and treats. It's the same setup as the previous two years, so if you've been before, you know how it works. The candy is the center of it, but there's more to graze on than just sweets. They'll have popcorn, hot chocolate, and apple cider on hand, which fits the October weather well enough. It's the kind of thing that works for a quick stop with the kids before you head out to other Halloween plans, or as the main event for the evening.

The timingโ5:30 to 7:30 PMโkeeps it in that early evening window, so you're not out too late on a Saturday night. It's free to attend, and it's held at First Covenant Church here in Portland. If you're looking for a low-key way to get the kids some candy on Halloween, this is a straightforward option.
