An evening for guests 21+ to explore the museum with beverages, featuring winter science vendors, lectures and planetarium shows.
OMSI After Dark returns to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry on Wednesday, December 2, with a theme called Chill Out. It's the museum's monthly night for guests 21 and over, so you can wander the exhibits with a drink in hand. This edition leans into cold-weather science and how to relax during the slow, dark months of winter, with hot cocoa and snowflake themes running through the night.
The evening is built around a few set pieces. There's a theme lecture in the Empirical Theater and four Planetarium shows throughout the night, and you can work your way between them at your own pace. In between, you'll find curated vendors set up around the museum. One thing worth noting: the Natural Sciences Hall has been renovated into a dynamic space aimed at deepening public understanding of climate-related challenges and community-level actions, so it's a good time to see that in person.
