Stand-up comedy show featuring New York-based comedian Ahamed Weinberg at Helium Comedy Club.
This event has been cancelled
Ahamed Weinberg is playing Helium Comedy Club on Saturday, October 24, as part of their Neon Room series. If you're not familiar, the Neon Room is how Helium brings stadium-sized talent into an intimate room, so you're seeing a big name without the distance of a theater. The club is at 1510 SE 9th Ave, and it's non-smoking, serves food and craft beers, and operates cashless.
Weinberg is a New York-based comedian and filmmaker from Philadelphia, known for dry wit, sharp observational humor and an introspective style. He made his late-night stand-up debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers and has since appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Bang Bang, The Eric Andre Show, I Love You, America, Comedy Knockout, Late Bloomer, Insecure and Hacks. He's a regular at The Comedy Cellar in New York and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, and he wrote, directed and starred in two seasons of Ahamed's Ramadan Diaries for Comedy Central Digital.
Beyond the stand-up, there's a filmmaking side to his work. His first half-hour special, Don't Tell Comedy, and his film Lovebirds—which premiered on Amazon Prime as part of the inaugural FunnyFest short films festival—round out a career built on relatable anecdotes and clever punchlines. The live shows run about an hour and 40 minutes, with an opener, a feature and a headliner.
