A free, all-ages showcase featuring Nonbinary Girlfriend and other women and nonbinary performers as part of the Femmes to the Frrront! series.
Nonbinary Girlfriend headlines a full day of music at The Off Beat on Saturday, October 17, as part of Femmes to the Frrront!, a free, all-ages showcase that brings together women and nonbinary performers across genres to share their energy, stories and music. The lineup is a long one: Nonbinary Girlfriend, Bijoux Cone, King Sheim, Karma Rivera, Lapaushi, Privateer, Topaz Faerie from Los Angeles, Flea Male and Angel Marie Shime from Seattle, and Maude Maeve. It's a multi-city bill, with performers coming in from LA and Seattle to join the local Portland acts.
Beyond the music, the day includes vendors, tattooing and tabling, and a portion of the proceeds goes to three regional organizations that support women and girls. The organizers frame the whole thing as a chance to learn about women's advocacy from the vendors and to witness intersectional allyship in real time. It's as much about the community and the advocacy as it is about the stage.

The venue is The Off Beat, located at 8440 N Interstate Avenue, and they describe their focus as "all ages, all access, no booze, no jerks." That fits the all-ages, free-entry nature of the showcase. The music starts at 4 PM, and since it's free and open to all ages, you can bring whoever you want. The full lineup runs from Nonbinary Girlfriend through to Maude Maeve, with the day stretching from the first set into the afternoon and evening.
