Concert by the Nashville rock band Natural Child at Mississippi Studios.
Natural Child are playing Mississippi Studios on Wednesday, November 18, starting at 8 PM. They're a Nashville rock band, and the bill is just them—no opening act to work through first.
They describe their sound as rock 'n' roll hailing "this side of the '70s," and that's a fair place to start. It's the kind of music that leans on grit and groove rather than polish, with the sort of loose, driving feel that fits a mid-week show. If you're into rock that doesn't try too hard to be something it isn't, this is right in that wheelhouse.
Mississippi Studios is at 3939 N Mississippi Ave, and it's a musician-run room. They book touring acts from across the country and from overseas alongside local favorites, and it's also the home of Bar Bar. It's a spot that knows its way around a live set, which is a good thing when the music is built on the kind of groove Natural Child talks about.
