Concert by Nashville singer-songwriter Liz Longley, blending intimate folk and pop, at Mississippi Studios.
Liz Longley plays Mississippi Studios on Sunday, October 18, at 8 PM. She's a Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose work moves between intimate folk and shimmering pop anthems, and this is a headlining date.
Longley graduated from Berklee College of Music and has picked up accolades from some of the country's most prestigious songwriting competitions, including the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship. Her self-titled debut was called "stunning" by HuffPost and noted for its "cleverness and wit" by the Dallas Morning News. Its follow-up, Weightless (2016), was described as "a thing of beauty" by Pop Dose. Her sixth album, Funeral For My Past, came together when fans raised over $150,000 on Kickstarter to fund its independent release, making her the fourth most funded solo female musician in the platform's history—a story that made its way into Billboard and Forbes.
Becoming a mother in 2022 shifted her songwriting, and that new chapter sits at the heart of her most recent album, New Life (2025). That's the record she's touring now, so expect a set that leans on the new material while pulling from the earlier records she's built her reputation on.
