Jon McLaughlin brings The Scenarios Tour to Mississippi Studios on Saturday, October 10, with the show starting at 9 PM. He's the sole bill on the night, so it's just him and the piano.
McLaughlin grew up in Indiana and now lives in Nashville, and he pulls from his own life for his songwriting—something that's shifted lately, as he's now the father of two young girls. He put out his debut album, Indiana, in 2007 on Island Defjam, and six full-length records since, with his piano playing and singing growing along with them. He's worked with Billy Joel, Kelly Clarkson, and Adele, collaborated with Sara Bareilles, co-written with Demi Lovato, and performed at the Academy Awards in 2008.
His discography covers a fair bit of ground. There's the Christmas EP Red & Green from 2017, Angst & Grace in November 2018, and two instrumental piano albums, MOOD in the fall of 2019 and MOOD II in May 2020, followed by the full-length All The Things I Say To Myself. In the fall of 2022, he toured to mark the 15th anniversary of Indiana, which was remastered and reissued on vinyl.
