Concert by the four-piece subterranean pop band Holy Wave from Ensenada, Mexico, at Revolution Hall.
Holy Wave are playing two nights at Revolution Hall on Sunday, November 15, and Monday, November 16. They're a four-piece subterranean pop band from Ensenada, Mexico, and these are their Portland dates.
They're touring their latest full-length, i'm DADA, which they recorded back home in Ensenada, where the Pacific horizon cuts a clean, unwavering line. They describe the record as more propulsive, more candid, and their most structurally deliberate work to date. It's a good way to get a sense of where they're at right nowβthe title itself, i'm DADA, points toward the surrealist roots that often run through their kind of pop.
