Industrial techno, darkwave and synth-punk from Centrifugal Force Machine, Glori and Runoti at The Six Below Midnight.
Centrifugal Force Machine headlines a night of dark electronic music at The Six Below Midnight on Saturday, November 7, with Glori and Runoti on the bill. All three are Portland acts, and the whole thing sits on the heavier, shadowier side of the city's electronic scene.
Centrifugal Force Machine, or CFM, is the project of Court Knight, who launched it around 2025. He describes the sound as industrial techno—hard techno mixed with 80s industrial—and the lyrics center on death, a preoccupation he carries over from his former career as a mortician. It's a project that doesn't shy away from its darker roots, and that's where the night gets its lean.
Glori is the solo electronic alter ego of Portland's Annalisa Rose. She pairs hardware synthesizers with sirenlike vocals to build restless, shadowy dreamscapes over pulsing darkwave rhythms, and she's currently working toward a debut EP. Runoti is a darkwave and synth-punk exploration returning from hiatus with a new EP driven by classic synth sounds and punchy bass lines. Together, they cover a good stretch of the city's darker electronic territory—from CFM's industrial techno to Glori's darkwave and Runoti's synth-punk.
