Swedish musician Anna von Hausswolff performs live on her Iconoclasts tour at the Wonder Ballroom.
Anna von Hausswolff plays Wonder Ballroom on Monday, January 11, 2027, as part of her Iconoclasts tour. The Swedish musician and composer has built a career around the pipe organ, and her live sets usually lean into that—the kind of sound that can fill a room and hold it there.
She first made a name for herself with Ceremony back in 2012, and since then she's become known for a wide, unpredictable range. The organ is her main instrument, and she uses it to move between two very different moods: the airy, ethereal quality of breath and the heavy, doom-laden weight of slow-burning rock songs. In between those, there are the more intimate organ pieces, the kind that feel like they're meant for a smaller space. It's a broad reach for one record, and that's a good way to get a sense of how she works.
Iconoclasts is her sixth LP and her first release on the Swedish label YEAR0001. She produced it herself with longtime collaborator Filip Leyman, and it brings a poppier, more vibrant element to her catalog than what came before. The record also features appearances from Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard, Iggy Pop, and Maria von Hausswolff, so the tour is built around that new material. If you've followed her work, this is the one that pushes her sound into a different gear.
