Live screenings of the Wimbledon tennis tournament on a large outdoor screen in the Piazza, with free entry, plus padel and food and drink.
Wimbledon on the Big Screen runs from 29 June to 12 July at The Piazza, with every match projected onto a state-of-the-art outdoor screen in the heart of the square. Entry is free, so you can just turn up and watch the tennis as it happens. There's a cordoned-off viewing area with more than 200 deckchairs, so you can grab a seat and settle in for the long haul rather than standing the whole time.

It's not just about the screen, either. Padel United UK is setting up a full-size padel court on site, with free sessions to have a go and live demonstrations from UK players. If you've never played, it's a good chance to try it out without needing your own gear. There's also Wimbledon-themed food and drink on hand โ refreshments, sweets, and drinks from the Estrella Bar โ so you can keep going through the afternoon.
If you're around later in the tournament, there's more to do nearby: a Continental Market runs on New George Street from 4 to 12 July, so you can wander over there between matches. The whole thing is put on by the Plymouth City Centre Company, and it's set up for tennis fans, families, and anyone who just wants a summer's day out in the Piazza. Entry is free throughout.
