Jonathan Pie, the UK's angriest spoof news reporter, returns for a brand-new live show touring the UK, billed as a 'helpful and hilarious guide to surviving the impending apocalypse'.
Jonathan Pie is coming to Plymouth Arena on Saturday 26 September, as part of his 2026 tour, The End of the World According to Jonathan Pie. If you've come across him online, you'll know the character: the UK's angriest spoof news reporter, always on the verge of a total meltdown while reporting from the front lines of British political chaos.
Behind the character is actor and comedian Tom Walker, who first brought Pie to life in September 2015. He became a viral hit when he famously 'lost it' outside the Houses of Parliament, and his online videos have since been viewed by millions worldwide. He's not working alone, either โ comedian Andrew Doyle has co-written the character since December 2015. Together they've produced the live show, pieces for television and radio, and the weekly online videos that keep the character going between tours. One of those videos, a response to the US election result, drew more than 150 million views.
This particular show is billed as a 'helpful and hilarious guide to surviving the impending apocalypse'. It opens on a world where the far right is on the march, the climate is collapsing, AI is about to rule and ruin your life, and World War Three feels distinctly possible. It's exactly the kind of ground Pie is best at โ taking the things that feel overwhelming and turning them into a rant. Ricky Gervais has described him as 'brilliant, brave, raw and analytical without forgetting to be funny'.
