A heart-warming musical comedy about three women whose lives intersect around the fish market, with the tagline 'When life gets tough - The Glorias sing!'.
Barbican Glorias opens at the Barbican Theatre on Wednesday 2 December, running through to Saturday 5 December. It's being billed as the new Plymouth musical, and it's a heart-warming comedy about three women whose lives intersect around the fish market. The tagline is 'When life gets tough – The Glorias sing!', which gives you a fair idea of the tone: a story about three people finding their way through the hard bits with singing to carry them through.
Setting it around the fish market puts it right in the city's own backyard, and the run takes place at the Barbican Theatre on Castle Street, in the historic Barbican area. It's a local story played out in a local spot, so it's one that feels tied to the place it's about.
