A family-friendly event celebrating the Armed Forces with military displays, live music, a Veteran's Village and a free evening concert.
Plymouth Armed Forces Day takes over Plymouth Hoe on Saturday 27 June, a full day dedicated to the Armed Forces community — active troops, reservists, veterans, cadets and their families. It's a family event, open to all ages, and it's free to attend. The whole thing runs from 10:00 to 22:30, with Babcock supporting.

The day is built around a mix of parades, military equipment on display, an arena programme, and demonstrations. There are military vehicles and gear to explore, and the Veteran's Village, supported by the Royal British Legion, brings together charities, businesses and organisations offering information and advice. Smeaton's Tower will also be open to the public during the day.
As evening falls, the focus shifts to the main stage, tucked towards the end of the ramp, for a free night concert from 17:30 to 22:30. It's open to all ages and includes a British Sign Language interpreter. The line-up is Marmalade from 17:30 to 18:30, The Vibes from 18:50 to 19:50, Riviera Dogs from 20:10 to 21:10, and Authentic Elton closing from 21:30 to 22:30.
On the practical side, you can bring your own food and drink — just keep glass out of it — or buy from the stalls on site, which include vegan and vegetarian options. Licensed bars will sell alcohol to over-18s, with Challenge 25 in place, and there's a water station opposite the Plymouth Naval Memorial. Cash is better for the stalls, as the WiFi can be patchy. The Hoe is accessible via wide tarmac paths for wheelchairs and prams, with a reserved viewing area for those with access needs. There's no parking on the Hoe promenade, but Ballard House (West Hoe Road, PL1 3BJ) has 30 blue badge spaces. A 25B shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes between Ballard House, Royal Parade (opposite the Theatre Royal), and Hoe Road, from 08:30 to 18:30. Chairs and dogs, including assistance dogs, are welcome. If you lose a child, head to security or the lost children's area at the Bowling Club.
