The Nigerian Cultural Festival comes to Madden Road on Saturday 8 August, running from 11:30 until 21:00. It's a full day dedicated to Nigerian culture, and the organisers have framed it as a celebration of diversity and inclusion, so it's the kind of thing that works as well with a group of friends as it does with the whole family.
Across the day, the focus is on the colours, sounds and flavours of Nigeria. There's live music and cultural displays, and food on the go, so you can spend as much or as little time as you like. It's a long stretch—nearly ten hours from start to finish—so you've got plenty of room to wander. You can come in for a bit of music and food in the afternoon and head off early, or settle in for the whole run.
