The Good Food & Craft Market returns to Royal William Yard on Sunday 5 July, one of the long-standing fixtures of the Yard's event calendar. It's a monthly market that brings together the region's artisan makers alongside its food and drink producers, so you'll find everything from tasty treats to handcrafted gifts in one go.
On the food side, there's fresh local produce and a range of vendors, while the craft stalls feature unique handmade goods from small local businesses. It's the kind of place where you can pick up something to eat and something to take home at the same time. The market has picked up event awards over the years, and it's a regular part of what goes on around the Yard.
The venue itself is a Grade II listed site, and the market is just one of the things you can do there. There's Maison Pierre by Bistrot Pierre for anyone staying overnight, and a good mix of bars and eateries open throughout the day. It's a dog-friendly spot and there are activities for families, so it works as a day out with the kids and the dog in tow. The Yard is set up for both indoor and outdoor visits, which means you can wander between the stalls and the other shops and cafes without having to head back home in between.
