A monthly market featuring local food, drink, and handmade goods by regional artists and makers at Royal William Yard.
The Good Food & Craft Market returns to Royal William Yard on Sunday 2 August, from 10:00 to 15:00. It's a monthly fixture of the Yard's calendar, and this one falls on the first Sunday of the month, which is when it always runs.
The market brings together some of the South West's best local food and drink to sample and take home, alongside fresh local produce and unique handmade goods from regional artists and makers. It's built around that mix of things you can eat and things you can keep, with the food and drink side of things sitting right next to the craft stalls. The market has picked up a few event awards over the years, and it's known for drawing in some of the region's top artisan makers alongside the local food and drink producers.
Because it's a monthly thing, the location shifts with the seasons. From April to October, it's held outside on the green, so this August date will be an open-air one. In the winter months — February, March, November and December — it moves indoors into the Melville building, a Grade II listed building that's part of the Yard. There's also a simple one-way system in place to manage the traffic flow through the site.

The market is dog-friendly and family-friendly, and the wider Royal William Yard is full of bars, eateries and other things to do around it, so it's easy to make a day of it. Entry is free, and it runs from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday 2 August at Royal William Yard, Plymouth (PL1 3RP).
