A free climbing wall open day with roped climbs, unlimited bouldering and fun challenges.
Plymouth Life Centre is hosting a Climbing Open Day on Saturday 1 August, from 10:00 to 16:00. It's a free session, so you can turn up and get on the wall without having to pay for a day pass or commit to a full membership.
There are three different ways to spend your time there. The roped climbs are for when you want to go high, with a harness and a belayer to keep you safe while you work your way up. Then there's the bouldering, which is climbing on shorter walls without ropes, and on this day it's unlimited, so you can keep going back to the same problem until you've cracked it. Alongside those, they'll have fun challenges running throughout the day, which are a good way to test yourself if you're not just climbing for the sake of it.
Because the roped climbs and the bouldering are both on the table, you can switch between them as you like. If you're new to climbing, it's a low-pressure way to try it out without spending anything. If you already climb, it's a chance to get a full day's session in for free.
