City Centre Christmas Lights Switch-On

The City Centre Christmas Lights Switch-On happens on Thursday 12 November at The Piazza, Armada Way, Plymouth City Centre, PL1 2AA. It's the event that officially kicks off the festive season here in Plymouth, and the lights stay on display across the city centre long after that night is over.

It's part of a wider Devon Christmas round that gathers town-centre switch-ons, Christmas markets, illuminated attractions and late-night shopping across the county, from Exeter and Plymouth to the English Riviera and smaller towns and villages. Beyond the switch-ons, the season takes in lantern parades, illuminated gardens and family attractions like the Christmas Train of Lights on the Dartmouth Steam Railway and A Very Miniature Christmas at Babbacombe Model Village.
