Saturday evening riverboat cruise with a buffet dinner, DJ and dancing to the city lights on the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers.
Gateway Clipper Fleet is running its Winter Captain's Dinner Dance Cruise on Saturday evenings this winter, with dates on January 16, February 20, and March 20, 2027. Each cruise runs from 6:30 to 9 PM, two and a half hours on the water. The evening is built around a full buffet dinner and a DJ who keeps the dance floor going while you sail past the city lights. It's recommended for ages 18 and over, and the suggested dress is dressy casual.
If you're not familiar with the fleet, it's a family-owned riverboat company that's been sailing the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers since 1958, carrying more than 25 million passengers over the years. Their fleet includes the Empress (1966), the three-deck paddlewheeler Three Rivers Queen (2013), the steel paddlewheeler Princess (1999), the Duchess (1975, formerly the Liberty Belle, launched for the Bicentennial), and the open-air Countess (1979), the fastest of the bunch. The Three Rivers Queen handles weddings from November through March, and the former Majestic is retired.
