A live, interactive game show experience where audience members compete on stage for prizes while others solve puzzles from their seats.
Wheel of Fortune LIVE! comes to Stage AE on Friday, October 23, bringing the game show out of the living room and onto a stage. It's a touring version of the show, so it's not a taping of the television program, but it follows the same format you've seen for years: contestants spinning the wheel, solving puzzles, and competing for cash.
The night works like a tournament. Several groups of three contestants are chosen from the audience to compete on stage for a spot in the Bonus Round, where prizes can reach $10,000 in cash. Everyone else plays along from their seats, solving the same puzzles to win their own prizes. The on-stage hosts are television and media personalities rather than the show's regular stars, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, who don't tour. It's a family-friendly evening that recreates the game show in a live setting.
There's one more thing to keep in mind if you're a fan of the show: at every stop, current U.S. residents can audition on-site for a chance to appear as a contestant on the television show alongside Ryan and Vanna. So, if you've ever wanted to be on the actual broadcast, this is a way to get your name in the hat while you're already there.
