If you've followed business news over the last couple of decades, you've likely come across Sorkin's work. He's an award-winning journalist for The New York Times and a co-anchor of Squawk Box, CNBC's signature morning program. He also founded and serves as editor-at-large of DealBook, the daily financial report he started at the newspaper in 2001. He's been writing for the Times since 1995, which is a detail that puts his career in perspective: he started before he'd even finished high school.
Beyond the daily reporting, he's written Too Big to Fail, which won the Gerald Loeb Award for Best Business Book and was adapted as an HBO Films movie in 2011. He's also a co-creator of the Showtime drama series Billions. His most recent book, 1929: The Inside Story of the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History, draws on newly uncovered documents to revisit the crash that defined a generation. Sorkin is a graduate of Cornell University.
