DĂa de los Muertos happy hour with an ofrenda, taco bar, cocktails and DJ Mateo Mattos at the Greer Cabaret.
The Lounge at the Greer Cabaret is hosting an Ofrenda Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 28, a celebration of DĂa de los Muertos. The night centers on an ofrenda—the traditional altar built to honor family and friends who've passed—and it's paired with a taco bar, cocktails, and DJ Mateo Mattos on the decks. It's a happy hour, so it's built around drinks and food rather than a formal performance.
The Lounge is part of the Greer Cabaret Theater, a Pittsburgh Cultural Trust project in the Cultural District where artistic performances and culinary experiences sit side by side. The theater and its surrounding spaces—the Lounge and the Kara Family Lobby—were recently renovated with upscale décor, updated seating, and new technology. The Lounge itself is open to the public, and you don't need a ticket to a show to get in. Reservations are available, but bar and table seating work on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're planning to bring a group, getting there a bit early is your best bet for a table.

It's worth knowing how the space differs from the main room. While the Lounge is open to anyone, in-theater dining at the Greer Cabaret Theater requires a ticket to a performance, with service delivered right to your seat. For this one, though, you just walk in. The Ofrenda Happy Hour runs on Wednesday, October 28, at the Lounge at the Greer Cabaret, 655 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh.
