Overnight dance cruise on a Gateway Clipper paddlewheeler with a DJ, dance floor and complimentary snack buffet over the Pittsburgh skyline.
DJ Marvellous takes over the Gateway Clipper Fleet for the Moonlight Dance Cruise on Friday, October 23. It's a three-hour trip on the river, and since it's a dance cruise, you'll find a dedicated dance floor on board. There's also a complimentary snack buffet to keep you going between songs, so you can grab a bite without having to leave the floor.
If you're not familiar with the fleet, it's a family-owned Pittsburgh riverboat company that's been sailing the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers since 1958. They've carried more than 25 million passengers over the years with a fleet of paddlewheelers—the Empress (1966), Three Rivers Queen (2013), Princess (1999), Duchess (1975), and Countess (1979)—and they run everything from sightseeing and dinner cruises to family outings and holiday trips, alongside private charters and weddings. The dance cruises are one of their public offerings, and they're for ages 21 and over, so bring your ID. The company also runs game-day shuttles to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park.
On board, the DJ and the dance floor play out against the Pittsburgh skyline after dark, which is the main draw of the whole thing. It's a cashless boat, so you'll want to use a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Veterans and active military ride free, and there's a free ticket offered for any Three Rivers Sightseeing cruise as well.
