All-new family magic show by Mike Super, winner of NBC's Phenomenon and a finalist on America's Got Talent.
Mike Super is back in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 24, at the Byham Theatre. He's a magician whose work has run through some of the biggest stages in the country: Ellen, America's Got Talent, NBC's Phenomenon, and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. He won Phenomenon and made the finals of America's Got Talent, so if you're not familiar with the name, he's a professional who's spent a good deal of time in the spotlight.
This is a one-night-only show, and Super is billing it as an all-new magical evening for the whole family. He's made a point of mentioning that anyone who saw his last show here two years ago hasn't seen anything yet, which is a fair warning that he's not just recycling the same act. If you've caught him before, it's worth knowing that the material is new.
As for the act itself, it's magic and illusion—the kind of show that works as well for kids as it does for adults, which is why he describes it as a family evening. It's a single-performer bill, so the whole night is built around his work.
