Weekly Monday guided meditation session with recorded sound meditation held in the pews of the Heinz Memorial Chapel.
Meditation Mondays are back at Heinz Memorial Chapel this Monday, October 19, from 12 PM to 1 PM. It's a weekly guided meditation session, so if you miss this one, there's another the following Monday at the same time.
The session is an hour of recorded guided and sound meditation held among the chapel's pews. Since you'll be sitting for the full hour, it's worth knowing that seat cushions are available from the gift shop. The chapel itself is a non-sectarian space given by the H.J. Heinz family to the University of Pittsburgh and dedicated in 1938. It hosts around 1,000 events a year and is known for its gothic architecture, stained-glass windows, and pipe organ—the kind of setting that lends itself to a quiet hour in the middle of a workday.

It's free for Pitt students, faculty, and staff, and it's open to the public as well, though registration is required. If you're in the city and looking for a way to slow things down for an hour, this is a steady option on the calendar. 12 PM to 1 PM at Heinz Memorial Chapel.
