First North American tour of the six-Tony-Award-winning Broadway musical romance Maybe Happy Ending, directed by Michael Arden, at the Benedum Center.
Maybe Happy Ending opens at the Benedum Center on December 29, 2026, as part of its first North American tour. The show runs through January 3, 2027, with the opening performance at 7:30 PM.
It's a tender, original musical romance set in a futuristic Seoul. The story follows Oliver and Claire, two retired Helperbots living solitary days on repeat, whose chance encounter sparks an unexpected adventure. Along the way, it asks what it means to be human, even when the central characters aren't. The music and book are by Will Aronson and Hue Park, and the production is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden.
Coming to the Benedum, the show arrives with a heavy set of credentials. It won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and swept nearly every major honor in its category: the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Broadway Musical, the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical, and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical. The reviews have been high, too. USA Today called it "one of the best musicals in years," the Observer called it "the best musical in eons!" and the New York Post compared it to "Pixar at its very best."
