Evening in which parents and teens discuss the issues they navigate every day, with a teen-led discussion co-moderated by the Friendship Circle Teen Leadership Board.
Friendship Circle is hosting Let's Talk About It: The Conversations Every Family Is Having—or Avoiding on Wednesday, October 21, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. It's part of an ongoing series sponsored in part by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, and the whole point is to bring parents and guardians together with their teens to tackle the issues they're navigating every day.
If you've ever sat through a family workshop that felt like a lecture, this isn't that. The format is what sets it apart: each evening pairs an expert-led session with meaningful discussion, and you leave with practical tools you can actually use immediately. It's less about sitting and listening and more about talking through the things that usually get swept under the rug.
There's one detail that really defines the series: members of Friendship Circle's Teen Leadership Board help shape each conversation and co-moderate alongside the presenter. It means teen voices stay at the center of the discussion rather than being talked about from the sidelines. When the conversation shifts, it's the teens themselves who are helping steer it.
