Charity fundraising event at Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh Brewery & Restaurant supporting the Copeland Burn Fund.
Give a Little. Help a Lot! is happening at Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh Brewery & Restaurant on Thursday, October 15, from 11 AM to 12 PM. It's part of the brewery's October 'Fire Prevention Month' initiative, a month-long effort where Hofbrauhaus teams up with BOB-FM and the UPMC Mercy Burn Center to raise awareness and support for the Copeland Burn Fund. The fund helps burn survivors and at-risk communities, and the center itself is described as one of the nation's best burn centers.
The main way to get involved is through the 'Round Up for a Cause' campaign, which runs throughout the entire month from October 1 to 31. When you eat at the brewery, you're invited to round up your check to the nearest dollar, with the extra change going toward lifesaving treatment, recovery resources, and community safety programs. It's a small change that adds up across the whole month.
This isn't the only thing on the calendar for the month. On Wednesday, October 7, there's a Firefighter & EMT Appreciation Night, and on Sunday, October 25, there's a Family Fun Day where kids eat free and CoCo the Clown stops by. So if you can't make it on the 15th, you've still got a few more chances to drop in.
