Evening event at the EastmanTribe pop-up store featuring furniture browsing, live music and drinks in East Liberty.
EastmanTribe is hosting a late-night session at its pop-up store this Friday, Oct. 16, at Spinning Plate Gallery in East Liberty. It's a night that works as both a gallery opening and a hangout, with the store open for browsing while live music plays in the background.
If you haven't been, the pop-up is built around furniture and decor you can actually touch and sit on. There are benches and side tables scattered through the space, and a huge oak coffee table that takes up a good bit of the room. Alongside the furniture, you'll find hand-painted jackets and blankets from the Southwest, so it's a mix of heavy wood and textile work.
The music is the other half of the evening. While you're walking through the pieces, there's a live set going, and they're serving beer, so you can just hang out and take your time with it rather than treating it like a quick walk-through. It's less of a formal exhibition and more of a night where you can browse the new work with a drink in your hand.
