Check-in for Point Park University's Family Weekend, where visitors collect a welcome packet with the weekend's itinerary and register for campus activities.
Point Park University is hosting Family Weekend this October, and the whole thing kicks off at the Lawrence Hall Lobby at 212 Wood St. in downtown Pittsburgh. It's the university's dedicated weekend for parents and families of current students, and the check-in desk is where you start: you'll pick up a welcome packet with the full itinerary, your tickets, and all the details you'll need for the rest of the weekend.
That registration fee covers a lot of ground. You're getting the Welcome Reception, musical theatre performances, student film screenings, a School of Dance showcase, and Tunes & Treats in the Park. There's also the Point Park Family Brunch and various athletic events. If you're a student involved in the performances or screenings—either on stage or behind the scenes—you don't need a ticket for those particular events. Just keep in mind that some Pittsburgh Playhouse shows require a separate ticket purchase on top of this.

Check-in runs from 9 AM to 9 PM on Friday, October 23, and from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, October 24. If you didn't register in advance, walk-in registrations are accepted on the spot, though they're cash or check only and depend on ticket availability. Registration officially closes on Saturday, October 18, so if you're planning to come, it's better to get sorted before then. The cost is $25 per person, and that includes the Point Park student.
