Interactive half-hour of reading and play for babies and preschoolers from birth to age five.
Family Storytime is back at the C.C. Mellor Forest Hills library in Pittsburgh on Thursday, October 22, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. It's a half-hour session built for the youngest readers, with stories and activities chosen for babies and preschoolers from birth to age five.
The format is an interactive mix of reading and play that families share together. Instead of just sitting and listening, kids get to be part of the storytelling, and the activities are picked to keep that age group engaged. It's designed so you can sit with your little ones and work through the session together, rather than just dropping them off.

Because it's aimed at the birth-to-five range, it works for a wide spread of agesโbabies who are just starting to react to stories and preschoolers who are already talking back to them. The whole thing fits into a single morning slot, so it's an easy one to work around a nap schedule. It runs from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the C.C. Mellor Forest Hills branch in Pittsburgh.
