Precision jazz dance workshop for adults led by Exactitude Dance founder Traci Reszetylo, a former Radio City Rockette.
Traci Reszetylo is leading an exclusive precision dance workshop for adults at the Pittsburgh Playhouse on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1. It's a two-day session, with both days starting at 10 AM—Saturday in EDT and Sunday in EST—and it's held in the GRW Performance Studio at 350 Forbes Ave. The workshop is run through Exactitude Dance, the company Reszetylo founded.
The focus here is precision jazz, a style that's all about synchronization and clean, sharp lines. Reszetylo comes to it from a high-profile background: she's a former Radio City Rockette, and she's also a Point Park University alum, so this is a bit of a homecoming for her. The workshop is open to adults, and the precision jazz style is exactly what she's known for from her time on the Rockette stage.
It helps to know where this is happening. The Pittsburgh Playhouse is the performing arts center for Point Park University and the Conservatory of Performing Arts. It's a three-theater venue that houses The REP professional theater company and three student companies—Conservatory Theatre Company, Conservatory Dance Company, and Playhouse Jr.—which together put on around 18 major productions and 235 performances a year. The GRW Performance Studio is part of that larger complex.
