Family Halloween musical filled with music, dancing, laughter and Halloween thrills, a highlight of the Pittsburgh Playhouse's annual Fall Fest.
Boo's Halloween House Party is running at the Pittsburgh Playhouse through November 1, as part of the Playhouse's annual Fall Fest. It's a family musical built around music, dancing, laughter, and Halloween thrills, and the Playhouse describes it as being for "little monsters, grown-up ghouls and everyone in between."
If you're planning to go, it's worth knowing that this isn't just a one-night thing. The show runs from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, November 1, with a good spread of dates and times to work around. The first weekend has a Friday night show on October 23 at 7:30 PM, followed by Saturday, October 24, with a 2:00 PM matinee and a 5:00 PM evening performance, and Sunday, October 25, with another 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. After a break, it returns for the Halloween weekend: Friday, October 30, at 7:30 PM; Saturday, October 31, with a 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM; and Sunday, November 1, with a 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

That gives you a choice between a Friday night out or a weekend matinee, and since it's a family show, those afternoon slots on Saturday and Sunday are probably the easiest way to bring the kids. The whole thing is held at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, in the Highmark Theatre at 350 Forbes Avenue, downtown. It's one of the highlights of their annual Fall Fest, so it fits right into the season if you're already looking for something to do around Halloween.
